The Great Boiling Pot of Rehai

Sea Grand Rolling Pot, located in Tengchong, Yunnan Province, is one of Chinas most fascinating geothermal wonders. Known locally as Rehai, this natural hot spring area is part of the larger Tengchong Volcanic Geothermal National Geological Park. The name Grand Rolling Pot comes from the bubbling, boiling water that resembles a giant pot of hot water constantly simmering.

The Grand Rolling Pot is famous for its high-temperature springs, with water temperatures reaching up to 96°C (205°F). The water is rich in minerals, and the steam rising from the springs creates a mystical atmosphere. The area around the spring is covered in colorful mineral deposits, adding to its otherworldly appearance.

Visitors can enjoy the unique experience of watching the boiling water and steam up close, though caution is advised due to the extreme heat. The site also features a small market where local vendors sell eggs cooked in the hot springs, a popular treat among tourists.

Beyond the Grand Rolling Pot, the Rehai area offers several other hot springs and geothermal features, including fumaroles and mud pools, making it a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and those interested in geothermal phenomena. The combination of natural beauty and geological significance makes Hot Sea Grand Rolling Pot a remarkable highlight of any trip to Yunnan.
